Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
One of Champion Shrine’s longest-standing traditions! Pilgrims from all over the country come to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother on August 15. The Shrine has its historic Mass at 11 a.m. and a rosary procession led by a statue of our Blessed Mother following Mass. Confessions and Enrollment in the Brown Scapular are included in the day’s events as well. Spend time in prayer with your loved ones, encountering the presence of Our Lady of Good Help.
Miracle of Fire
Every year, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help celebrates its anniversary of our Blessed Mother’s apparition to Adele Brise in 1859 as well as the anniversary of the miracle of the Great Peshtigo Fire in 1871. On the evening of October 8, the Shrine will hold all-night adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Apparition Chapel and hourly rosary processions around the Shrine’s grounds. Mass will be held the next day to commemorate Our Lady’s appearance to Adele
Marian Conference
Join pilgrims from around the world in The National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help’s annual Marian Conference. Taking place every year on the weekend before Memorial Day, the conference will focus on a different quality of Mary, inviting top speakers who can dive into the topic. Attendees will be able to develop a deeper understanding of Mary while also growing in greater intimacy with her Son, Jesus.
Walk to Mary
The Walk to Mary is an annual pilgrimage that takes place on the first Saturday of May. Pilgrims journey from the National Shrine of St. Joseph to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. This 21-mil spiritual experience has impacted our lives and filled our hearts with many blessings from the Holy Family!
Eucharistic Healing Service
At the conclusion of the 11 a.m. Mass on every last Saturday of the Month, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed and processed among the faithful. This is then followed by the Anointing of the Sick for those needing the Sacrament.

Honor the day Jesus, the Son of God, was revealed to the three Magi and to the whole world.
Many Catholics use the Epiphany as an opportunity to bless their homes by writing the first two numbers of the year, adding the letters “CMB” (honoring the three wise men’s names Casper, Melchoir, and Balthazar, and standing for the Latin phrase “Christus Mansionem Benedicat” – “Christ, Bless this House”), and then ending with the last two numbers of the year over the door. For example 20+C+M+B+25.
Blessed Chalk will be handed out after Mass at 11 am and Epiphany Water will be also blessed for the faithful to use.

January 22 Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children
On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court legalized abortion throughout the United States in its companion decisions Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. Since that time, millions of children have lost their lives, and millions of women and families have been wounded by abortion.
On June 24, 2022, the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision overturned Roe v. Wade, and we praise God for the great opportunity state and federal legislators now have to protect pre-born children. While God, in His mercy, ended the nearly fifty-year nationwide regime of abortion on demand, right now state and federal laws, in many instances, are still hostile to pre-born children. So, great prayer and advocacy is very needed.
The General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM), no. 373, designates January 22 as a particular day of prayer and penance, called the “Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children”:
In all the Dioceses of the United States of America, January 22 (or January 23, when January 22 falls on a Sunday) shall be observed as a particular day of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion. The liturgical celebrations for this day may be the “Mass For Giving Thanks to God for the Gift of Human Life” (no. 48/1 of the Masses and Prayers for Various Needs and Occasions), celebrated with white vestments, or the Mass “For the Preservation of Peace and Justice” (no. 30 of the Masses and Prayers for Various Needs and Occasions), celebrated with violet vestments.
If you are interested in signing up to be an adorer during the day, from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., please email Petrine at ptreml@championshrine.org or call and leave a message at 920-866-2571 x105 with the time you are available.
Our goal is to have all the time slots filled with at least two people in each time slot. Optional prayer sheets are attached and will be available as you enter the Chapel.
Thank you for your consideration and prayers.
