Personal veneration is available in the Chapel during the hour before the 11:30 a.m. Mass, offering quiet time for prayer and reflection.

Blessed James of Strepar’s feast day is on October 20. In honor of his life and witness, the National Shrine will bring his relic from the Apparition Oratory to the Apparition Chapel for veneration that day.

Blessed James of Strepar was a Franciscan friar who became the Archbishop of Halicz and devoted his life to preaching the Gospel and strengthening the faith of the people entrusted to his care. Known for his humility, wisdom, and pastoral zeal, he worked tirelessly to guide the Church and bring the message of Christ to many. His example continues to inspire the faithful to serve God with dedication and charity.
