Personal veneration is available in the Chapel during the hour before the 11:30 a.m. Mass, offering quiet time for prayer and reflection.

St. Cecilia’s feast day is on November 22. In honor of her life and witness, the National Shrine will bring her relic from the Apparition Oratory to the Apparition Chapel for veneration that day.

St. Cecilia is honored as a virgin and martyr of the early Church and is the patron saint of musicians and sacred music. Tradition tells that she sang to God in her heart even during her martyrdom. Her life remains a powerful witness of faith, purity, and joyful praise of God.
