Personal veneration is available in the Chapel during the hour before the 11:30 a.m. Mass, offering quiet time for prayer and reflection.

St. Gerard Majella’s feast day is on October 16. In honor of his life and witness, the National Shrine will bring his relic from the Apparition Oratory to the Apparition Chapel for veneration that day.

All are welcome to attend and pray with this great Saint on his Feast Day!

St. Gerard Majella was a Redemptorist brother known for his deep holiness, humility, and devotion to God. He had a special compassion for the poor and the suffering and is widely honored as the patron saint of expectant mothers and unborn children. His life remains a powerful witness of trust in God and loving service to others.
