St. Peter the Apostle’s feast day is on June 29. In honor of his life and witness, the National Shrine will bring his relic from the Apparition Oratory to the Apparition Chapel for veneration that day.

All are welcome to attend and pray with this great Apostle on his Feast Day!

St. Peter was one of the Twelve Apostles and the leader of the early Church chosen by Jesus. A former fisherman, he became a bold preacher of the Gospel and is recognized as the first Pope. His faith and witness helped establish the Christian Church, and he remained faithful to Christ even unto martyrdom in Rome.
