Personal veneration is available in the Chapel during the hour before the 11:30 a.m. Mass, offering quiet time for prayer and reflection.

St. Pope John Paul II’s feast day is on October 22. In honor of his life and witness, the National Shrine will bring his relic from the Apparition Oratory to the Apparition Chapel for veneration that day.

All are welcome to attend and pray with this great Saint on his Feast Day!

St. Pope John Paul II served as Supreme Pontiff from 1978 to 2005 and was known for his deep faith, powerful witness, and tireless travels throughout the world. He proclaimed the dignity of every human person, encouraged young people to follow Christ, and promoted devotion to Divine Mercy. His life and leadership continue to inspire the Church and the world.
