Personal veneration is available in the Chapel during the hour before the 11:30 a.m. Mass, offering quiet time for prayer and reflection.
St. Teresa of Calcutta’s feast day is on September 5. In honor of her life and witness, the National Shrine will bring her relic from the Apparition Oratory to the Apparition Chapel for veneration that day.
All are welcome to attend and pray with this great Saint on her Feast Day!
St. Teresa of Calcutta, also known as Mother Teresa, was the founder of the Missionaries of Charity and is remembered for her lifelong service to the poorest of the poor. Through her compassion, humility, and unwavering faith, she cared for the sick, the dying, and the forgotten, reminding the world of the dignity of every human person.
