For the past year, we have been prayerfully working to reimagine The Shrine’s History Center.
The History Center was last updated in 2016. In the ten years since, The Shrine has experienced several historic milestones: becoming a National Shrine, receiving the name Our Lady of Champion, and, most recently, witnessing the opening of Servant of God Adele Brice’s cause for canonization.
With these important developments, we knew it was time to refresh the History Center, and we are excited to offer you a sneak peek at what the newly updated space will look like! The redesigned exhibits will guide pilgrims through the history of The Shrine while placing a renewed emphasis on Our Lady’s message and Adele’s mission of catechesis. Visitors will also learn more about Marian apparitions, processions, devotion to Our Lady, and the Catholic faith that has shaped this sacred place for generations.
Join us for the grand reopening and blessing on October 8th | 6:00 P.M., followed by the Miracle of the Fire Candlelight Rosary Procession at 7:00 p.m.
The History Center will close from September 14 to September 25
During that time, we will continue to offer The Shrine history video in Mother of Mercy Hall
A project like this requires much prayer, discernment, and generosity. We are deeply grateful to the donors whose support has already helped make this renewed History Center possible. Although the project is not yet fully funded, we trust that these updates will serve and inspire pilgrims for many years to come.
