Champion Shrine Partners with The Merry Beggars to Produce Audio Series on Adele Brise (Brice)
New series to showcase the story of Adele Brise and the apparitions of Our Lady of Champion

(CHAMPION, WI) – The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The Merry Beggars, the entertainment division of Relevant Radio, to produce an audio series on the life of Adele Brise (Brice), the seer of Our Lady of Champion. This highly anticipated series will premiere in May, bringing Adele’s remarkable story to life for listeners across the country.

The 5-episode audio series will explore Adele’s early life, her journey to the United States with her family, and the extraordinary encounter with the Queen of Heaven in 1859 that changed her life forever. The series will also highlight Adele’s unwavering faith and leadership during the Peshtigo Fire of 1871, the deadliest fire in U.S. history.

“This series allows people across the nation to connect with Adele and learn about Our Lady’s mission of catechizing children and spreading the faith—a mission still relevant today,” said Fr. Anthony Stephens-CPM, Rector of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion. “I am grateful for The Merry Beggars’ dedication to sharing the story of Our Lady of Champion with a new generation. Their creativity and commitment to Catholic storytelling are helping to evangelize our culture in a truly unique way.”

The Merry Beggars, known for their world-class productions that engage and inspire families, have brought together a talented team of voice actors to tell Adele’s story in a dynamic and imaginative way. The series promises to capture the drama and spiritual depth of Adele’s life, drawing listeners into her powerful journey of faith.

This series comes at a significant time in Adele’s story. In June 2024, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) unanimously voted in support of advancing Adele Brise’s cause for canonization on the diocesan level, affirming Bishop Ricken to continue the process for investigating Adele’s life of heroic virtue.

“We were honored to work with the National Shrine to bring Adele’s story into vivid color,” said Peter Atkinson, founder and executive producer of the Merry Beggars and VP of Marketing for Relevant Radio. “We’ve been inspired by her life and, in turn, we hope to inspire listeners to grow in faith and perhaps even make a pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion to see where Adele lived and encountered Our Lady.”

The Adele Brise audio series will be available for streaming and download starting April 28 through Relevant Radio and The Merry Beggars’ platforms.
