St. Frances Xavier Cabrini – Saints of America Biography

Frances Xavier Cabrini (1850–1917) was born in Italy to a humble family. She struggled with frail health but possessed incredible determination and faith. When millions were emigrating to the United States, she felt called to serve the poor and marginalized, especially immigrants. Despite being advised to remain in Europe, she journeyed to America. There, she founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and established hospitals, schools, and orphanages across the country. Her tireless service, deep compassion, and unwavering reliance on prayer transformed countless lives and communities. A fearless advocate for immigrants, she is celebrated for her bold missionary spirit, charity, and trust in God.
