Join the National Shrine as it remembers the Solemn Shadows Service, also known as a Tenebrae Service.
Tenebrae is a solemn service held during Holy Week, and characterized by gradual extinguishing of candles, and by a “strepitus” or “loud noise” taking place in total darkness near the end of the service.
The Service will take place at 7:00 pm in the Apparition Chapel at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion.
